Upcoming Programs
The Life and Times of General George E. Pickett
On February 6, 2005, journey back in time as we explore the life of General George E. Pickett through a unique 2-act play. Mike Vouri, portraying Pickett's "ghost", will bring to life the experiences of this noteworthy figure. Learn about his early years, his military education at West Point, and his experiences in the Mexican and Civil wars, all set against the backdrop of his time on San Juan Island. Accompanied by live music, this presentation is not only a recount of history, but also a portrayal of the era's cultural and social nuances, as seen through the eyes of a soldier who witnessed it firsthand.
